HomeGauge releases home inspection software Version 4.3

HomeGauge has released version 4.3 of its popular home inspection software. Significant updates to this version in regards to home energy inspections include:
  1. BPI CAZ Template (also called CAS for Combustion Appliance Safety test)
  2. Home Energy Survey Template
  3. Energy Star Thermal Bypass Checklist form

These features, especially #1 and #2, rely heavily on the new built-in spreadsheet function in HomeGauge 4.3, which does the calculations and pulls them directly into the report for the customer (i.e. average R-Values). The CYA section also provides guidance in performing home energy surveys following the BPI guidelines. The Thermal Bypass Checklist form was included especially for HERS raters. Also updated is the included sketch tool, which has been improved to make it easier for energy auditers, doing such tasks as sketching a home's thermal boundary. In the same category, the picture editor has also been enhanced, to easily pull in window dimensions directly from the spreadsheet.

See example reports: #1 and #2

While previous versions of HomeGauge already integrated with radon.com's test kits for radon testing, 4.3 includes a new generic form for including radon test results from any number of testing devices.

There is a full list of updates and fixes listed on this page on HomeGauge's website.
